The old saying “”You never know what you are capable of unless you try.” surely applies to my artistic abilities. Back in late 2019/2020, at the beginning of COVID while stuck at home and bored, I was scrolling through Pinterest and found several abstract paintings that inspired me. I needed an activity, so I asked for a paint kit for Christmas. This is my first attempt. I am still proud of how it turned out without any instruction or experience. While my mother was an artist and taught for a while, I never was her student. However, her artistic talent made an impression on me early on, and I was always so proud of her gift. I have learned through this attempt that there is far more talent within me waiting to be discovered if only I will attempt it. This was the start of my very rewarding adventure into artistry. I have learned through this endeavor that “I (really) can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.” Philippians
